Sustainable Procurement

Acting responsibly along the entire supply chain
For Tyrolit, this means actively shaping processes, supplier selection and risk management within the supply chain. In addition to economic and quality criteria, environmental protection and compliance with social standards are also relevant when selecting and evaluating our suppliers.
Our Sustainable Procurement Policy forms the basis of our activities. It defines our measures relating to environmental, social and corporate governance topics and describes our commitment to the responsible procurement of products and services.
By signing the Tyrolit Code of Conduct for Suppliers, our partners acknowledge the principles and requirements set out in the document. Implementation is followed up through defined indicators, risk analyses and, where necessary, further reviews.
Tyrolit conducts risk analyses and, where necessary, reviews operating procedures on site. We expect our suppliers to comply with applicable legislation – such as REACH – and the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in their operations. We also expect them to implement appropriate processes within their own and affiliated companies to support compliance with these requirements.
If Tyrolit determines that a supplier does not meet the relevant requirements and expectations, recommendations for action are provided. These identify areas in which corrective measures or improvements are required.
The Tyrolit Code of Conduct for Suppliers, which also forms part of our General Terms and Conditions of Purchase, requires our suppliers to ensure that their own suppliers comply with the Code of Conduct.
